Grant Slater is a filmmaker, photographer and journalist. He specializes in short-form and serialized films for publications, online networks and brands.

Since graduating from The University of Oklahoma in 2006, he has traveled the world for outlets ranging from National Public Radio to The New York Times. He began his post-graduate career as a freelance writer in Moscow and went on to become a the Visuals Editor for public radio in Los Angeles.

His work has also appeared in The Guardian, National Geographic, Buzzfeed, the Associated Press and many other publications. He has wone numerous editorial awards, including a fellowship from the Eurasia Foundation to travel to Siberia and report on issues related to technology and the environment.

Grant holds a master's degree from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University as well as bachelor's degrees in Russian and journalism from the University of Oklahoma."
