
Faculty FundingThe following sources of funding for travel are available to faculty: 1. Travel. $500.00 from the department for travel, only if you are presenting a paper. 2. Three-way split. One-third from department (this comes out of the $500.00), one-third from Research Council, one-third from College of Arts and Sciences. Lodging, food, and registration fees can be calculated in this request. A memo needs to be addressed to the Vice-President of Research and a form needs to be filled out for Arts and Sciences. Talk to the chair for further information. Three-way Split Faculty Funding Form 3. Faculty Enrichment Grants. From the College of Arts and Sciences, $1,200.00, due September 1, November 1, March 1. These grants can be used for conference travel or other requests. For details see Arts and Sciences website (information below) Faculty Enrichment Grant Information 4. Research Council Grants. Small grants from the Research Council, up to $1,000.00. These can be used for conference travel as well as for other purposes. For details see Research Administration website (information below). Research Administration Website 5. Presidential Travel Fellowships. $1,000.00. Awarded in the spring through the Office of Education Abroad, 325-3337. Larger grants are available as follows: 1. Junior Faculty Summer Fellowship. See Research Administration website and Arts and Sciences website. 2. Grants from the Research Council. See website. 3. Presidential International Travel Fellowship.
